physicist: '3 is prime, 5 is prime, 7 is prime, 9...experimental error, 11 is prime...'

engineer: '3 is prime, 5 is prime, 7 is prime, 9 is prime, 11 is prime, 13 is prime...'

Absolutely.

Opening thread post by sonhouse:

I really liked the guy, had nerves of steel. He got a stingray stinger THROUGH his chest. RIP......

Then, a page 11 post from Xanthos :

What? Your original statement was to do with a crude house. Now you are talking about the wiring of a skyscraper? And even if I could design the wiring for such a building that is not the same as building it myself.

No one designs via blueprints they build via blueprints. They are instructions to follow.

It figures.

PS Edit ; ..and this again from Xanthos is the latest:

mathematician: '3 is prime, 5 is prime, 7 is prime...by induction, 9 is prime...'
That's not how induction works.

physicist: '3 is prime, 5 is prime, 7 is prime, 9...experimental error, 11 is prime...'
You can't have experimental error in math. It's pure.

engineer: '3 is prime, 5 is prime, 7 is prime, 9 is prime, 11 is prime, 13 is prime...'
This is the punchline? So it's a crack about how engineers are bad at math or something? Or am I missing the point?

given your first two points, yes i think it's a safe bet to say you're missing the point... i know maths geeks think there is something sacred about numbers or something, but maybe you could lighten up just a tad?

You forgot the bit in the middle where you made outrageous claims and then ignored everyone who pointed out that you were lying.

I haven't forgotten anything Xanth. I have just simply not given that any credence because I know what I know, and I also know that you, and for that matter, anyone else posting on this site, doesn't know what I know.

It's not logical to say that I have made "outrageous" claims and even "lied" when you do not know even who I am. Simple really.

So you admit to not being a lecturer at Canterbury University?

Again, don't project Xanth. You're not good enough at it because it's an art. Not science.

I recommend you stick to your sexual innuendo. At least you seem to have done enough research in that area to know all the slang words and spelling. Well done.

Another engineer who'd struggle to build a house.

I don't have to project. I checked. The person you claim to be (A Literature lecturer named Michelle at UC) doesn't exist.
