it's sad, but this week I have finished two games, against two different people who I will not ever play again. Even if it's in a tournament I will resign rather than play their computers. I have no problem losing, it's just that losing by four peices to a player (supposedly) in my ratings range sucks, and I son't do it again (BTW, I've lost more than one game to this particular individual, all badly)
Just my rant, for what it's worth

Anyway I'm not surprised that you lost at the speed that you are playing. I saw several times in the public games that you moved on 3 games within one minute. Most of the gaffs that I've made tend to happen when I'm moving too fast.😀

Originally posted by mondragonI guess for some people, it`s in their nature to find a way to try and beat the odds, which most of the time can only be done by cheating. Just think, what favours is it really doing them, it`s laughable to cheat when there is not even a prize to win. Don`t worry about it.

I've been accused of useing a computer before, and nothing could be less true.
Don't always assume that when you are losing that somebody is cheating you. Everyone has those times when it seems you can't go wrong in a game, and then there are the times when everything you do is wacked out. I play like an idiot much of the time, but I do have my moments when it appears I'm a decent player. It's all smoke and mirrors. It's all just a game.
Originally posted by mondragonIf you look, most peoples ratings change over time. It could be because they improve, but you also have to play a fair few games before you reach your true ranking. Ocassionaly, a player will drop out and get timed out and drop rankings. Never assume a player will play to their rating.

So - you got dorked. It might have been a player rising through the ranking or someone who has made some good moves. Maybe you did something dumb. So - take your loss and stop snivelling about it. I would normally say nothing about your public moaning but you have implied your oppenent is a cheat.
Sad pretty much sums up the subject of this thread.
If it smells, it smells.....granted I DO make dumb moves in some games (don't we all?) but when I see what looks to me like a pattern it makes me wonder. Someone mentioned that I may be moving too fast. Against only some players? Maybe......Odd that in the same time period I hold my own against similarly rated players :-) And now I'm finished....just noting there are some people I probably won't play again.
BTW...talking about something you see that might be a problem is not sniveling (unless you have a different dictionary!) ;-)
