Now, with the reference to the gutter, I was using the plural tense of the word you. The comment was not direct at you in particular. However, if that's how you took it, then that's how you took it.

yes, and it is common place for people to use that for alteria motives.
alcohol can be evil to some. i've had friends with alcohol addictions who died from it, other's have had lives ruined, etc, etc.
i still drink, but i ain't addicted. i use it.
By pap is a drunk. Hell, my uncle and I are both drunks, too. But in the morning we get up and do what we need to do.
As for your friends with an addiction to alcohol, I 've been in that boat. It almost made me fail out of college (well, it didn't, I did). And I've put my family through some crap over it. However, when you hit the bottom, you learn what you are made of and I graduated with honors. They weren't as high as I would have liked them but what can you do?
Now, if you want to talk about addiction, message me. I can tell you things that to this day make me sick and are the reasons why my father and I don't talk.
