Why unbelievable? Im passing my own judgement on schapelle in that it is my own opinion, but im not going to pass judgement on anyone who feels she is innocent. i jus want to know why so many people think she is innocent.
How the hell can you know if she is guilty or not????

It could of even been the Police here in Aus that tipped of Bali (just like they did with the heroin smugglers).

Personally i think she's innocent, but it doesn't matter what i think. It matters what can and cannot be proven in an Indonesian Court of Law. It's not the first, and wont be the last injustice to be done, if infact it is. It's sad to see some idiots that call themselves Australians calling for revenge and sending stuff to the Indonesian Embassy. These people should be locked up, for good!

She's as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo (with apols to Edmund Blackadder ) and after those insane Australians mailed anthrax to the Indonesian embassy I hope they execute her.

That's their law and you entertain that, when you transgress to that level, in their country. If you don't like it then don't go there and do that.

Her family has been under surveillance for a while because they have been involved in drug trafficking.
My understanding is that she was well known among her friends to be ANTI-drugs. Not, of course, that that proves anything by itself, people who would never take drugs in a million years have been known to sell the stuff to make money.
The biggest single problem I have with the case against her is that she seems to have been importing the wrong way around. If it's generally considered profitable to import FROM Indonesia TO Australia, why would she be doing the reverse?
I've heard one suggestion that higher quality marijuana is harder to come by in Indonesia. Which leads me to think they really should have tested the composition of the drug to help establish it's origin.
I find it rather fascinating that the Indonesian legal system has a different 'onus of proof' (if they even use that terminology) to ours. It's something that many Australians can't seem to grasp as they scream and shout about injustice. Even though I personally lean towards thinking she's innocent, I can completely understand why she was convicted. The defence case really wasn't up to PROVING anything, rather than casting a bit of doubt on it.

Yes and she could not be more innocent.
So anyone caught smuggling drugs into Australia in their bags has only got to say " not mine mate " and Customs will let them continue on their holiday?
