Happy, but shattered.

And I do actually look forward to my next lessons.

I teach (so no money off the taxpayer). Back towards the beginning of September.

At my school kids go back September 5th, but we go back the week before.

Feel free to come join the teacher's clan! πŸ˜€

You're a teacher? I thought you were mentally challenged?

Oh I see, taxpayers don't pay teachers salaries any longer.

No wonder tax is going down not! 😲

They don't at my school! That's why we make half of what public school teachers get!

Wow, that's late. Here, the teachers start in the middle of August, the students one week later, I think (I'd better find out whether they really start one week later or whether they start at the end of the "planning week" like the kindergartens - I'll have some cello students in the next school year, and the music school follows the school holidays). The kindergartens aren't closed during summer (they are only closed for the children during the "planning days" ), but I have very little work at the moment because most of the children I work with are on holidays.

We didn't get out until June 10th. When I worked in another state, though, we didn't get out until June 24th!:'(:'(:'(

I still have workshops and stuff in the summer -- went to two days on Character Education and have a week-long one the end of July on Guided Reading. I get planning stuff done during the summer, but really should be working on the school web site!

😲 I think the last school day here was 21 June. Your school holidays are almost as long as university holidays in Germany. πŸ™‚

Not if you've been snorting the rubber cement in art class.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
