...ok..the educated people have to line up and give me an answer ( i know the line will be short )...can you have an explosion in a vacuum ?....is
"outer space" a true vacuum ?...if you cannot have an explosion in a vacuum and outer space is a true vacuum is it possible that when we see
the romulan warships explode in outer space that the "gas" necessary to
allow the explosion is just a local gas environment from within the container
of the ship and it is sufficient to create a momentary non-vacuum at the site of the explosion ?...i would like an answer to this problem...i would like
to continue to believe that when i watch outer space movies that i am seeing reality and not some foolish fantasy with impossible exploding star ships...thank you for your time...

If there is a vacumn in a pressurised container you can have an implosion.

No, space is not a true "perfect" vacuum, but to all intents and purposes, it is.
When you see a space ship explode in sci-fi programs, it is not entirely accurate, as the flame and sound would likely not be there. (sound definitely not, but the flame may be possible depending on the internal environment of the ship, it would be very short-lived though)
Also, when watching space ships explode on tv, remember the need for dramatic license.
