Since it is meaningless now 233 has some mervelous properties as pointed out in the wikipedia:
233 is an irregular prime, a full reptend prime, a cousin prime, a Chen prime, a Fibonacci prime and a sexy prime. It is the 13th Fibonacci number. It is an Eisenstein prime of the form 3n - 1 with no imaginary part. Since 233 × 2 + 1 = 467, another prime, 233 is a Sophie Germain prime. 233 is also a prime triplet (with 227 and 229).

HEAR YE. HEAR YE. HERE ARE THE FIRST TWO OF FOUR (PLANNED) HELPFUL HINTS: WINNING NUMBER IS AN ODD NUMBER AND GREATER THAN 300*.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
Sole intent is and was to treat all players even handedly and without special preference or partiality. Subsequent post requesting help is and was aimed at alerting those immediately affected by these first two hints to the imperative need to revise their entry. More will be in the same shoes with hints three and four. If the tone had not been infused with negativity the provision of clues would have been welcome... and maybe even exciting. Please bear in mind that I'm not a dentist. This event was meant to be fun. Striker, would you please endorse my repeated request that those RHP Members who do do not wish to participate stay out of the way? I'm a realist. These conflict folks need to get eyeballs on their views. Solution's simple... start an "@ Second Free Member Subscription Contest, 2012" thread, then all get together in little groupies to post 24/7 until the cows come home. If the status quo continues, I'll be seriously tempted to disband the contest. In the event that this last resort decision becomes necessary, I'll still gift the two winners privately. Given the levels of ill will, rancor and complaining the last two hints (which I would have preferred to roll out with an interval of expectation) are stated below:
*

Ratcheting the range upward to squeeze out approximately half the numeric possibilities I thought would enhance the possibility of somebody hitting it on the nose and, in so doing, winning the promised two year subscription (credit). Of course the second place prize would still be awarded to the next nearest contender. I appreciate you weighing in with your personal views. So, thanks. As for me, I'm going to enjoy this contest game as much here on in as I have up to now... if it kills me. lol. Unsure whether or not 'thumbs down' are fatal, but I've graciously recieved 988 so far in the month of October, 2012. Maybe Ponderable can do a study. And maybe the pundits are right after all: 'Better to be loved or hated than ignored'. Luv & Hugs, gb

Serious allegation. Support it.

Also as a note your original post said nothing about "(planned) Helpful Hints" thought it did say this:
* Red Hot Pawn Members may submit one (1) number. Earliest date of post determines ownership in the event of duplication.
No one can 'prove' you a liar, but it's pretty easy to figure out.

In mind and shared with sumydid (GBS declined being one of Santa's Elves) the day before launching our contest.
