This should be more than enough for any current participator to withdraw their nominated number.
Shame on you, Bobby, looking for 'the most successful forum contest' - in comparison to the original generous one, which was inspired by a little inheritance or gifted money from the creator. 😠

How sad for the generosity of Monty, when you drop to the level of a chihuahua. 🙁

Don't blow your rotator cuff patting yourself on the back for a thread you swiped from MontyMoose. He was also able to deliver the goods in nine pages (probably would have been 3 pages if you didn't jump in as some kind of boy wonder to his Batman) while you've turned this crap thread into a selfish attention mongering buss crash.
You ready to get your pick up yet on the table or are you planning to hang around, chiming in whenever someone else is singing lead for you to follow?
Let it go. Please, let it go.

it's that you look into the mirror, see this, and deny it to yourself...
this is naught but self-promotion...
you care not about giving...
you mentioned "things they covet bit will never have"...
your desire for fame and allocation, even if you "get" what you want here in the forum, will not satisfy your cravings...
good luck...

Bobby, what I have and what I live with are covets of yours, surely?
Why would you perceive that 'clever comments', as you see them, detract from the free will of others and don't promote them, in a forum on a chess site?
Does this cause 'chaos' for your fragmented illusional thoughts?
I am no more capable of comments than any other member, so why choose to choose me as an example of negativity, when it comes to your affirmations of what's good, when others remark in a similar light?

... childish,
That maneuver, hastily suggested by you, could actually hurt their chances of winning.
It seems highly unlikely that the eventual winner will have the exact number already chosen by you.
The eventual winner, much more likely, will be the person closest to your number (an odd number).
What's closest to an odd number? An even number, of course. You need to learn to think before you speak.

He's already clued it an odd number that is greater than 300 (wow, thanks!~)
So now rather than 2424 possible numbers, we are down to 1062.
He'll continue to drop hints that eliminate a majority of existing guesses (as to get people to pick a new number) while keeping the range as wide as possible.
Only when he has it whittled down to a very few possible numbers remaining will he actually decide what number to pick and milk this thread like a prize heifer.
