I just looked at the current map and realized that there's more to what no1 says than I thought. In this game, information is much more limited than in MD or even DL. I can't see some of my enemy's provinces which may have cavalry within them that can attack me, so I don't know what kind of threats I am under. Given this lack of knowledge cavalry are more powerful than I thought.

Majesty, Thy orders were not received, so your forces did not perform any activities this season.

That's why you send out basic orders the day you get the turn and send them in every time you revise them. I generally send in about 4 sets of orders throughout the week.

Thanks for the condescending advice. spanky, but I DID send my orders multiple times. Once on the day I got the turn, once in the weekend and finally on the day before with a few minor diplomacy changes.

I have never used anything else than the Hepburn system (well, most of the time I simply have used kanji and kana 🙂). It's not the most logical one, though.
There are some amazingly stupid translations in Katakana that defy logic. I had many arguments over what is the English word with Japanese , having to explain that the Katakana - "phonetic" translation for a particular word makes no sense in English at all.

If you ever need more condescending advice just complain on the forum again. There are any number of people who would be happy to provide!

That explains it. And sucks piles. You might be able to get compensation (gold) if you complain skilfully to the GM.

That 200 CS Heavy Cavalry sounds very nice, but to put it in perspective, you can get 220 CS and save 2 gold in the bargain with a pair of Ashigaru Arquebusiers.
