I don't think you even bothered to read what I said in my post. :'(
We only glimpsed them briefly as they paralleled our trail, maybe 50 yards on either side of us.
😉 We just caught them out of the sides of our eyes, like smoke, like silk, like flames flickering 😉

But if they are reintroduced to the country, given the amount of idiots, whom should not even be entrusted with stick insects, that let their dogs run free, we are going to have a situation whereby hybrids come about in the wild. These hybrids can and will attack people. They have the fearlessness of humans inherited from the dog side, and the raw predatory instincts of wolves.

As coy as the wolf is, I would still feel very apprehensive about reintrducing it over here.
what was it, 3000 pints smashed into faces a year in uk, causing permanent vision impairment or blindness? and smoking has killed 6.3 million people during last 50 years in uk.
not a single non-rabid wolf of the 60-70 000 north american population has killed a human. ever. dating back 400 years or so.
I think hippos kill around 2000 people a year?
so, what is dangerous anyway? do people fear dying because of smoking? no. do they fear getting a glass pint smashed into their face? no. but people still fear wolves like nothing else. it just doesn't make any sense.
I blame the brothers grimm.

So now they are dangerous, at the end of the day they are opertunistic predators.
A wolf would not attack a human unless it was provoked, cornered or if its family was threatened. Even in any of those cases, the wolf would flee to avoid the humans if able.
