And you think at least 2 of them are buying a real tree every year? How many kids, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims etc in that 8 billion?
Around
2.5 billion below 18
500 million Buddhists
1.2 billion Hindu
1.9 billion Muslims
Let's say 8.2 is correct... Probably closer to 9.
Take away the religions that aren't going to be buying a tree, can't be bothered to check if Jewish people buy Christmas trees.
That leaves
5.1 billion
Some Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim kids obviously so we'll say 1.3 billion to take away.
That leaves a potential tree buying population of 3.8 billion.
Now, we also have atheists, they're not going to buy a tree.
There's another 500 million off the list.
Down to 3.3 billion.
Would it be save to assume that the majority of people buying trees have a family? Half that and you're already down to less than 2 billion.
Billions of trees? No. Millions, yes.
In the US 25-30 million trees are bought each year.
@A-Unique-Nickname saidDont have those kinds of trees in the tropics anyhow.

Around here the cost of a real Xmas tree, like a Fraser Fir, in the past 5-6 years has gone from $25 to, if you’re lucky, $80-90. The big reason, according to a local grower of Xmas trees…fake trees. I tried the fake route and will never again do that. I have never been able to, after the season, get the damn thing back in it’s box.😡 Gimme the “real deal”.🌲👍
@Rajk999 saidCan still buy them imported.

In Malaysia, shipped from Europe.
Not cheap but possible.
@Drewnogal saidCould one take that idea into consideration concerning a boyfriend or girlfriend?🤔
Me too, much cheaper and less mess.

We have been sending a Christmas Tree 40 to 50 feet tall if I am correct on the height to Boston every year since the Halifax explosion when Boston was the first ones to help us. Of course I wasn't even born yet.
Here's some of the criteria we look for:
Twelve to fifteen meters (40-50 feet) in height.
Healthy with good colour.
Medium to heavy density.
Uniform and symmetrical.
Easy to access.
Halifax Explosion | Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
More than 1700 people were killed by the explosion and its after-effects. At least 9000 were injured and many more were made homeless. Mortuary effects from some of those killed in the explosion. Fragments of the ship displayed at the Maritime Museum.

People also ask
How old is a 7ft Christmas tree?
It takes around to 10 to 12 years to grow an average sized 6-7ft Christmas tree from seed. They start from growing by seed in nurseries for 2 to 4 years and are then planted outdoors in christmas tree farms for another 8 years.

@Great-Big-Stees saidI remember going in the woods with my father every year and we would cut down a Christmas Tree. A lot of time the snow was up to our butts, my father would cut down the tree each year as he was better with an axe than I was. 🙂 Loved the smell of a fresh tree. The smell would stay in the house long after the tree was gone.
