Silly laws (USA)

Dumb laws from the USA:
(Alaska)
1. Moose may not be viewed from an airplane
2. While it is legal to shoot bears, waking a sleeping bear for the purpose of taking a photograph is prohibited
3. It is considered an offense to push a live moose out of a moving airplane

(Arizona)
1. Any misdemeanor committed while wearing a red mask is considered a felony
2. There is a possible 25 years in prison for cutting down a cactus
3. Donkeys cannot sleep in bathtubs
4. It is illegal to manufacture imitation cocaine
5. It is unlawful to refuse a person a glass of water
6. You may not have more than two dildos in a house!

(Florida)
1. If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle
2. Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal
3. When having sex, only the missionary position is legal
4. It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit
5. It is considered an offense to shower naked

(California)
1. Animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship
2. Women may not drive in a house coat
3. City Council order reads: "No dog shall be in a public place without its master on a leash."
4. Nobody is allowed to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool
5. No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour!

Here in Knoxville it is illegal to lasso fish.

There's a city out west somewhere where it's illegal to wear a mask, even on Halloween.

In Arizona, when someone asks for a glass of water, it's illegal to turn them down.

I am I nuts or do these make perfectly good sense?

The cactus the laws refers to is the Saguro. It only grows in southern Arizona and is endangered. And yes, they strictly enforce this law.

Manufacturing and selling imitation cocaine, seems like it would not only help boost the drug trade, but also pose a health risk to the buyer.

Can you imagine 120 degree heat outside and you feel heat stress setting in as you are walking home from school. You go in to Carl's Jr and ask for water. They tell you it's $1.50 and you realize you don't have your wallet on you..... Might seem a little silly to people that don't live in the desert, but check out the statistcs on heat related deaths in AZ and NM sometime.

For crazy laws that are actually enforced, check out Singapore. You can be looking at jail time for bringing chewing gum into the country (and they really do check).
