Yes, I am just wondering how that would work out legally for the site...Sometimes what we think would be logical, isn't the way the law works, that is why I have a lawyer for making contracts, and looking at them, because the ordinary Joe, don't know much about the law. I have been amazed at times.

Lets then assume some minor walks into a bar where it is posted that no one under the age of 21 is allowed to be served liquor. What would happen to a bar tender if they serve a drink to say a 13 year old who first claims to be 21 and then latter confesses to be 13. Wh ...[text shortened]... w they are here, yet the bouncer is letting them stay. even though the Tos says it's a no, no.
that was the worst example ever. if a bar serves booze to anyone under aged it doesn't matter if they used fake id or whatever, it's the bar responsibilities for not serving anyone under the legal age and they, the bar will get fined in caught.

and i have my u.s hat on here.

If the bar took the proper legal precautions, they'd be in the clear. If the minor presents a fake ID that looks real, the bar isn't going to get fined unless the particular State has laws imposing strict liability.

ROFLMAO...It is spelled liar, and no I didn't, I saw no need it is a chess site, and pennys a day to use. I don't think I even read it over my self until I was here for quite awhile.

I know I was told to remember it was a G-rated 13+ site, by a mod in a friendly message on something I had said in the forum, and no I am not going to repeat it. 😛

I honestly don't remember but the TOS is quite clear.
the tos says many things but yet darv and myself are still here as two examples of many. i do remember what i was asked, and it was 13 or over. so i can only assume that when they say you have to be of legal age to enter a contract, they're talking about who's card you have used to join the site. in other words a 13 year old can join and play on the site here but if between 13-17 it's the reasonability of their parents (or whoever card they used) for and legal matters.

The wording is clear and your interpretation doesn't make any sense.

Because I think Internet laws and liquor laws have some overlapping similarities in the USA. Bars have bouncers and RHP has bouncers. Each business has age limit restrictions.

ok i'll change my wording. the site is a 13+ site but if any legal matters came up for anyone aged 13-17 it would be in the hands of the person who can legally enter a contract. in this instance the person that the 13-17 year old used for their subscription purchase.

better?

that's what i'm saying to.

although it may be different from state to state in america as no1twit has said, i don't know.

from past experience it's the bars responsibilities in florida.
