I load my pistol with Federal +P+ "Law Enforcement only" loads, Federal restricts their sale to police departments but the local police supply gunshop sells them to anybody..tee-hee. I think it's because Arizona is kind of liberal when it comes to that sort of thing.I can't wait to shoot something with them. Or somebody.

Police departments have been using them for years, they take the 9mm and turn it into a respectable stopper. Velocity is typically 1300+ fps, versus 1100 in a standard pressure load. That's almost identical to what a .357 magnum will do from a 4" barrel with the same bullet weight. With a 16 round capacity, it's a lot of firepower.

I realized what i was doing just before i pulled the trigger. That was a close one! Silly things like that happen to me all the time with guns, even when i'm Not drunk. Guns make me so goofy. What a blast! Makes me laugh everytime i think of it.
My advise is...don't mistake it for your cigarette lighter.

I too sit with pistola beside me. Out here in the boonies we have camp robbers and with no neighbors to mention, its a comfort. Plus having a lot of drugs on hand also makes a tempting target. The word about drugs gets around fast. Legal or not, it invites trouble. Two nights ago at 3:15 AM a car comes up my dirt road. Thats suspicous. Turns out the freezinf rain made farther travel too difficult, but how was I to know that. Glad for both our sakes they didn't come knocking. Ww are also prone to a few crazies from the cities once in a while. So again, the answer is yes. I sit with a Glock 9mm at hand and quite a few others. I am a hunting enthusiast. Not a gun nut. I also have many fishing rods so I can also beat would-be robbers with them. HeeHee.

How many others do that? When I'm up in the wee hours I always take my gun out of the nightstand and keep it by the keyboard just in case I need to shoot bad guys. Plus I just like to fondle my gold/silver/pearl handled James Bond gun.
