I made an open invite with 1 day/no timebank. 2 minutes later it was accepted so I'm playing along and I get a message to hurry up, the games only been going 25 minutes and we've made about 6 moves or so each when the opponent decides he's "on vacation" . Meantime I check my email and see the same player has deleted the game??????????
The sneaky git has deleted it and restarted it with 7/14 timeout/timebank before I could notice and now I've moved too much to re-delete it.
I am effing disgusted that this can be done........I want it deleted if he's not moving at my invited times.
Suggestions, other than resigning will be considered,
thank you.

edit: Never mind, pretty easy to figure out.
Sucks though. If it was me, I would resign, but I can't come up with another suggestion other than that. Sorry.
Edit 3: Next time you post an open invite, in the game name, make sure to name and shame the guy, so others looking for games will be wary of the guy. Be creative!

Originally posted by GalaxyShieldI suspect that what's happened is that he posted a public game, got it accepted, the other guy deleted it after the first move or so and remade a game with the same name with different time controls that this guy idiotically accepted without thinking. Since he accepted the different time controls, it's his own fault, in the same way that signing a contract without reading it makes it your fault if you don't like the content of that contract.
How can you delete a game that has had more than 2 moves made in it?

He did the accepting and altered it by deleting and remaking without a frigging word about it; and not everyone checks their emails after every game begins....
The other guy who accepted User 189030 the game made a contract in the first place if you're trying to be a smartass about it, so he's playing under false pretences, and hence he's the idiot.
Very underhand I reckon. Normally I would expect to trust an opponent not to be so sneaky. I wouldn't have cared if he said so first but whats the point of having the option in the open invites section if you can't trust the opponents to stick to it.

Right, except for the [b]idiotically accepted part.

I would have far more sympathy the other way round: If the game had been set up at 7/14 and your oppo had sneaked it to a 1/0 set up.
Now you dont have to revolve your life around rhp. You should be grateful that you can now leave the pc off for a couple of days without being timed out.
Relax, be happy.
