As for the great time line, I doubt my part will amount to any more than just a grain of sand that makes up the beach.

As for answers, I think you might want to take a ticket and get in line for those.

My questions to the grea ...[text shortened]... ,

2) Dinosaurs, what was all that about?

I hope this leaves you as confused as me.

Ever given any thought, Woodgie, as to why there's a universal fear of physical death? Is it primarily the fear of dying painfully; or the fear of the unknown; or the fear of consequences for words and deeds during one's lifetime; or guilt and fear of eternal punishment in lieu of eternal happiness and reward... or something else subliminal neither of us have even considered?

The scientific part of me says "do what you want, there are no repercussions in the after-life, as there isn't one".

The religious part of me says "I will have to answer for my trespasses and I will be judged".

My biggest fear is leaving loved ones at the mercy of the rest of this loving, forgiving and compassionate race we call humanity.

I suppose the best outcome is for the World to be struck by a meteor.

Once I have been able to create a particle from magnetic waves, it will all become clearer.
The method is always going to be Electronic, I am still working on the question and answer bit though.
That is the real secret to eternity, pain and ignorance.

Sounds so dismal and fatalistic.

The scientific part of you seems to be ignoring the conscience part of you - it's not the repercussions in the afterlife that will torture you in your dotage. Of course, if you've got the sociopath thing going on then you're home free.

Woodgie, my world is filled with significant daily challenges and, as is common to all mankind, embraces cycles of prosperity and adversity. My soul is tranquil and content. I live with absolute confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. Accepting his grace gift of everlasting life provided a personal relationship in both time and eternity. In no way am I better than others... though I'm definitely better off than any and all who live with gnawing uncertainity, fear, worry, anxiety and confusion regarding their long term future.

Our souls are unique and immortal (with self awareness, conscience, rational capacity, norms and standards, vast memory storage, self determination) and will reside at one of two addresses for all eternity. God respects free will. Choice is ours.

I suppose it is all down to the perception of right and wrong and ignorance is indeed bliss.

Lets hope the dude keeping count agrees.

I envy your ability to sleep soundly.

Edit: Closed off the italics, no need for fancy writing here.

And so you're back from outer space. I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face. I should have changed that stupid to post and we'll survive. we will survive.

RHP WILL SURVIVE

Sum of God's justice and righteousness is divine integrity... He's trustworthy. He's impartial and doesn't play favorites. He's immutable and doesn't change. He's impressed with obedience, not ignorant arrogance in any of its forms. He's omniscient and omnipotent. There's nothing you or I can do to interfer with His perfect plan. Please check out the C.S. Lewis quote in my profile.

Here is one study showing the bad effects of mental illness, depression and the like effecting 25 percent of the US population and slightly more in Europe:

I fear a White Knight coming to f5 when I'm Black.
I shudder at the thought of a protected passed pawn and
Rooks the 7th bring me out in cold sweat.

I don't have any fears at all in the other make believe world.
I live soley on the chess board.

(though tinged with sarcasm and slightly unfair, orangutan's post was quite
brilliant and the best post I've seen in a long time. Gramps could only put down
his guard and applaud. All to credit to both.)

Here's another one.

http://www.insectresearch.com/ps_bedbugs.htm

There's a Grampy one, called a forum bug, one which was taken down to 12C, and lifted back to 14C four months ago.

It slowly rises, takes a bite, chews slowly and then munches all in its path of momentum, believing it is the true elder of knowledge yet it has never been to the bottom of the bed, nor the top. It simply lives in the woods.

-m. 😉 a chin slap.
