When did Mexico become the Negative Zone?

What? Are you trying to teach me, boe?!?!

limón is lime, lima is lemon.

I thought that in spanish the suffix -ón meant bigger?

In the Spanish er... Spanish lima is lime and limon is lemon. In Mexican Spanish, it's the opposite.

Bravo! I would have also accepted a reference to Annihilus. Although, embarrassingly enough, I should have actually said "Bizarro World" not "Negative Zone".

Well, if you walk into any supermarket in Mexico (except for the stupid North) you'll see mountains for green balls with a price tag on top saying "limones", and the yellow, bigger ones offered as "limas".

An online Spanish dictionary agrees that limon is lemon and lima lime.

I wish I knew how to make accent marks without copy-pasting...

I think I'll avoid the whole issue and go with a kumquat.

Teh lulz, can't believe anyone remembers that picture... 😵

Incidentally, this is what my eyes will look like after my kumquat juice bath --> 😵
