There are plenty of summer bush-fires in NZ.
And Iraq has two ski-resorts.

Now you kNOw.
Snow in Iraq is commonly seen in the northern part of the country, particularly in the mountainous areas. For most citizens in Baghdad, it is rare for them to see snow.
Baghdad witnessed snowfall in January 2008 for the first time in over 100 years.

which at its peak was 16-hectares in size.

If global warming really is real why is there no fires in NZ
You are wrong, there was a 16 hectare fire in Dunedin last year.

2017 Port Hills fires

2017 Port Hills fires
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2017 Port Hills fires were wildfires in the Port Hills of Christchurch, New Zealand. Two separate fires, several kilometres apart, started on Monday afternoon on 13 February 2017.

Cause[edit]
Early reports talked of an electrical fault that started the Early Valley fire, while the source of the Marleys Hill fire was unknown. The first opinion on the cause was offered by the Prime Minister, Bill English, when he visited the site on Thursday and declared that two fires starting at about the same time "looks a bit suspicious".[22] A day later, fire investigator Ken Legat told Newstalk ZB that it's "certainly suspicious".[22][8] As a death had resulted from the fire, the investigation would be led by police, and the Canterbury district commander, John Price, stated that there is no evidence as yet of any arson, and calling the fires suspicious would be a "quantum leap".[8]

is that bad luck or what??
