I'm not sure myself. It's a bit like if the light goes out when the fridge door is closed.

Will it have any effect on the system if quite a few do not log out?

Nobody ever returns to tell the tale. It is a secret known only to the cheeses and various types of cooked meat. Tins of soup will never know.

I didn't know anybody ever logged out. I'm permanently logged in on 3 devices and I don't plan to change that unless Russ takes the option away.

Yes it actually does automatically go off when the fridge door is closed.

Easy fix there. Just go inside and have a "friend" shut the door behind you. Emphasis, on FRIEND. Let us know, will ya?

Lots of people log off then forget their password and can't get back in again. I have a friend who has made lots of computers from scratch including a total of 3 for me since 1993.

He told he if a hacker wants to get in your computer passwords are not going to stop them. If they can take a site like yahoo and other sites down and we are talking teenagers here.

This is why we never say anything on the internet we wouldn't want others to know. I am sure we have hackers on this site right now and don't know a thing about it.

Yes, it bogs down the website. That's why the proper, correct thing to do is log off every time. Besides it is necessary to "update" all your settings.

I believe logging off of the site and updating settings would not be the same thing, unless you're just throwing in some extra information that some may not know about. I think most of us that have been here for years know about updating settings. Good advice for the new memberhip though.

Can you evidence that?

I think we might be able to convince Pete to remain inside the fridge, if we promise enough cheese.

this thread is about latency!
refrigerator doors do not have any measurable latency!
