If one is learning to just impress us with what they think they know, that doesn't work and most of us see thru that.
To be clear, are we talking about general idiocy, or specifically 'spiritual idiocy' if such a thing exists?
But the learning that we do is hopefully with the goal in mind which should be to truly help ones progress spiritually and to learn the truths in the Bible.
And learning would include going beyond what we want to hear and what we want to believe.
Paul was completely convienced that his being behind the killing of ones who said they were truly following Christ such as Stephen was completely in his heart.
But of course he later learned of his wrong viewpoints and changed. We have to be willing to change if we see the truth.

We have to be willing to change if we see the truth.
If we have lived that truth, with or without a God, would you justify a 'need' and willingness to need to change and, if so, what changes do you see needed?
; and, additionally, in which areas would the changes need to be, in your circumspect?

That's why Jesus taught the way he did and why he told ones that have learned the truth of what he taught to share it with others.
If we have that heart condition that God accepts, then we can be taught.
Anyone can read the Bible and learn a lot from it. But it was written in such a way that only ones who honestly want the truth, even if changes have to be made, will eventually learn it.
There are hundreds of so called Christain religions that all have their own take on the Bible. Isn't something wrong with that picture? Maybe their motives aren't truly to learn and follow Jesus's words.
