Both available here:

Thanks for the help guys, but it looks that simple safe mode - system restoration did the trick. There is no red radioactive sign on my desktop anymore and no false alarms !

What a bad joke.
Download "Hijack this" and run the program.

If you use HJT the best plan is to post the log at a site that deals with them. It's easy to knacker your OS with untrained use of HJT

Also I would clear all old System Restore points and create a fresh one.

So, not only did you somehow manage to download and install some spy/mal-ware, but you went ahead and clicked a link to an apparent phishing site that has now probably logged some of your personal information?

Nice work there, Captain Courage.

Please, for the love of god people:
- Use FireFox, preferably with AdBlock and NoScript add-ons installed t be aware. Don't just click 'Yes' or 'OK' on every pop-up or windows dialog that pops up.
because you dont get spyware through firefox do you...!!! spyware exists on the net, whatever browser you use makes no difference, i have said this before and say it again, it is microsoft who have done a lot of work into so called accidental downloads (clicking on a link by mistake) not mozilla...

not biased in this, i use firefox, just wish people wouldnt be under the impression it stops spyware

i agree with you on the other point though, hitting yes or no on a spyware pop up has the same effect, even hitting the red x to close it, the only way is to close the browser and re-open

yes it will do, spyware attacks the registry, system restore takes the registry back...

this isnt always a good thing though, it really confuses your anti virus updates and causes the registry to be out of sync with your system clock, dont get me wrong, i use system restore a lot, but look at it this way, if you install a program it updates the registry, if you then take it back a week before the program was installed, the program is still there but the registry thinks it isnt... it's amazing it works really, i guess we have to give ms a star for that one

I found a porn site that tries to install some low level adware before i see the goods.

All i want is a little bit of adware.........i can handle the adware, i should go in there and face the adware......I can take it singlehandedly, there's only 160 of them 😛

Uhm, I was not saying FireFox is the almighty spyware killer or anything like that.
If you use FF with the add-ons I listed, you should never get any accidental spyware installed.
The rest of the stuff I listed should take care of idiots who manage to still get the stuff installed after using FireFox - which in itself is a great first line of defense if used 'correctly'.

I see you still mis-interpret almost every post you read that is IT related.
Keep up the consistency, buddy!

I have firefox 3 beta ! It was my fault (do not download cracks on serials.ws)

Seriously, I have genuine copy of one chess program. Since I am out of my country more than expected (one month by now) I started to miss my program so I downloaded trial and then... huh...

I got what I deserved 😳

I wouldn't use any beta software if I didn't absolutely have to, especially not a browser.
