Yeah, it was enjoyable enough. A couple of my friends had been going on about it, so maybe I was expecting too much.

EDit: Can't tell you much about where it was shot, though.

Anybody know where it was filmed? Or is most of the scenery CGI?
If I had to guess, I'd say Scotland.

enter "stardust filming location" into google and top of the list is:

In mid-April 2006, principal filming took place in Wester Ross, in the Scottish Highlands[9] followed immediately by filming on the Isle of Skye.
Several nights and days of location filming also took place in the woods near Ashridge House, Hertfordshire in June.[10] In summer 2006, there was some filming at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire and in the village of Castle Combe, Wiltshire. Filming was finished by July 13, 2006.[11]
One film location was on Elm Hill in Norwich. The area, with a mixture of Tudor and medieval buildings dating as far back as the 11th century, was transformed into the streets of Stormhold. The Briton's Arms tea house became the Slaughtered Prince public house. The owners were so enthralled with the new look - including a spectacular mural and new thatching - that they appealed to the local council and English Heritage to keep it. However, their request was refused.
good guess!!!

of course there is nothing wrong with mentioning the film and/or asking peoples opinion but it only took me about two seconds to find the answer to the question posted ... probably less time than to post the question lol
is it just lazyness?
Originally posted by Ragnorakno offence but perhaps you need to use a better search engine lol 😉
I spent about 15 minutes looking for the answer, and gave up.

like i said i put in one search and the answer was top of the list of results.
its ok to be honest about being lazy, i am lazy a lot of the time ... just ask my wife lol
Search engines are great if you understand how they search...most don't understand... it uses (to all intents and purposes) Boolean Logic....look that up if you want to know more 🙂...
Anyway, you have to use words that pin down what you want, be it many or few words.
I typed "stardust location" into Google, and second hit was :

I was really responding to MCA's post, but I decided I don't want to post it AS a reply 'cos it might seem like I was criticising him, which wasn't the case.
Rags is right though in a way....it is "sort of" lazy, but only in the way that general society responds to these things..."if I can ask a simple question somewhere, and get a good answer, why get all befuddled and frustrated if I'm not quite sure?".
Those of the right age will remember how it was always The Children who programmed VCRs to record favourite programs.....
The more things change, the more they stay the same. 🙂

i build websites for a living so getting the most out of search engines (i.e. trying to get a site as high as possible up a list) is important to me.
you are correct though, many people do not understand how they work and can spend a lot longer than they need to when searching for info
