Question for the native speakers from me as a dumb German:

I would have put that sentence thus: Me neither. Am I wrong?

No, you are right.

Oops, I wasn't supposed to answer. You are not a native English speaker; neither am I. Just another dumb German.

Nein! Although in vernacular English, people often say "me neither", it is very poor English.

One should say: "Neither do I."

It may be poor English, but I don't think it's incorrect. "Me either", on the other hand, is grammatically incorrect, if I am not much mistaken. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It may be the wrong to those uppity posh types, who want to tell us all how to talk properly, but its fine and lucid as far as I'm concerned.

1. Superfluous definite article.
2. Superfluous comma.
3. Missing apostrophe.

I'm not particularly posh or uppity, darling, but standards must be preserved, don't ya know!?

It gives every one a crack at saying something about the gramma...

I don't think most care.
