I wouldn’t invest £1,000 in the stock market at the moment any more than I’d stick it in a slot machine.

I started investing when I realised my predictions were as good as the experts.
I stopped investing when I realised my predictions were as bad as the experts!
If you are young then a diverse portfolio will see you well,
but if you are older than it's a risk.
In my opinion stock market investment is for the long term
(20+ years) Property is probably a much better option.
A HUGE deciding factor is how you are taxed on returns
(dividends/rent) and on capital growth.

@divegeester saidTrump could possibly be the worst POTUS of all time. The U.S. have a lost a lot of allies and respect the past 4 years. Lets hope they don't make the same mistake in November, or that certain places known not to be Trumps supporters are not somehow unable to vote. I believe they have a very corrupt government right now. Did anyone see or hear any parts of his speech last night? Another all about me speech if you didn't see it, didn't miss much.
