First off I have been looking into buying Fritz but am quite confused about what the heck is being sold!

There are several companies offering Fritz:
Chessbase
Viva Media
Playchess

And the list goes on. What the heck are the differences in these games? Are they all the same Database and engine un-altered from there true form as in Like......buying a GM truck or a Chevy truck (Same truck different dealydos'😉

Its rather frustrating!

Also as a side note does anyone know anything about 'Deep Fritz Grand Master Deluxe', does it have the fritz engine and books? or is it just a cheap knock off? (Cant find any reviews or actual in depth descriptions of what this program is about).

Thank you,

God Bless

Is the one at chessbase better than the others? It certainly has a larger price tag on it? like 12$, which aint a whole lot, but I am wondering why theres warrent the price.

I'm just trying to get the best engine for the money, if I'm gonna spend it.

Thank you for replying out of context.

Do you have any input on the topic I presented about the Fritz Engines?

The page has changed since I got it.

If you can find the same versions, better price someplace else... go get it I guess. I went to the people who made it.

I guess that is my quest and the reason for the post. I was hoping that someone would know if it is the same version or slightly less.
