Yeah, well, it looks creepy, it makes other people wonder if the holder of the tattoo has been in prison, and what it once was special now it's common because everybody has it, including the tramp stamp, that tattoo on the lower back that strippers love to get.
But, however, people still do it and therefore we all need to know. So, please, share with us:
(1) What do you have and where?
(2) When did you get it and under what circumstances?
(3) What is its meaning?
(4) Do you regret it OR have you had any bad experience related to it?
(5) Did it hurt to get it?
Thanks,
-S-

I dont know if I'll ever get it done though, I change my mind on how I want it to look all the time.
I'd like it on the inside of my arm about 2 inches below the wrist. 2 inches long and 1.5 wide.
So far its a hummingbird with the words "A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere" and a few swirly things to tie it together in a blocked shape and if possible I'd like them to use a reddish brown colour that will fade slightly so it wont be overbearing and noticeable to everyone.
And yes, it will hurt like hell. The design is fine with lots of thin lines and the finer the needle they have to use the more blood. (I went with my co-worker to get his done not so long ago, and it planted a seed for having one of my own done).

The second is on her back and is a stylised Sun ... she got that one because I always tell her that she is my sunshine in a world thats become rather dark and grim.
Because of my Russian genes, I have to much hair to be a good candidate for a tatoo and having Heartless, Souless Conservative tatooed on my forehead really wouldn't be appropriate for the workplace. Plus it might put a few people off
I met this chick the other day who actually had a really nice tattoo on her shoulder. It amazed me as it was the first one i've seen that truly looked artistic, rather than the dodgy stereotyped sailor tattoo's that popeye has.
My brother got one a few years ago that was some sort of Hindu symbol of strength. Unfortunately it looked like some sort of Nazi symbol, a point that most people who saw it brought up so he was forced to get a load of stuff added to it to sort it out. Looks ok now (i guess) but i personally trust a tattoo artist to draw something nice on my body about as much as i trust Charley Manson to tuck my kids into bed!
