Yea there's lots, Max Weber, Albert Einstein etc etc

Huh, didn't know that. Interesting. And I didn't mean to play the Hitler card, just making a comment. Sorry.

That's ok, I'm not overly patriotic, I'm not offended that easily... what bugs me is when people blame me personally for what happened 70 years ago.
Now, the final blow: (If I remember correctly from my history lessons) The Austrians actually started world war one. It was prone to happen due to the political state, but if I remember correctly, the austrians somehow blackmailed the germans, causing the to attack... another country.
Jeez, I can never remember history... 😕
But I stand to be corrected... I dead tired, I'll be off to bed 😉

Wow, never heard of blackmail between countries before. What's odd about this is that we were supposed to be telling you facts about various stuff and here I am learning History 😛. Ironic.

I've learned loads... eg the stuff about water on mars and the red hippo sunblocker 😀
It's much more fun learning stuff when you can decide what to learn instead of sitting in school all day long 😉

Lol, yeah, good point. I find it fun too cause I get to rack my brain with all the odd facts and random trivia I've built up. The stuff I can remember anyway 🙂.

So was Sigmund Freud (actually he was born in Moravia, but moved to Austria when he was three years old).

The earliest known sunspot observation was around the year 350 BC by Theophrastus of Athens.

The most important thing I learned today is that there is a nice beach less than 15 minutes (walking) from my new flat. 😀

I had a roommate who caused a fire in my apartment from smoking in bed. I lost whatever meager possessions I had at the time except for a bit of clothes and over 200 CDs which were stored in a CaseLogic book under the bed.

It's quite an involved funny/sad story. Remind me to tell it one day...

meager is a funny word, especially when used in a rather hyperbolic fashion.
