FACT: Being a female drummer makes you sexier than just being a female.

If anyone says Lars Ulrich then I hope they get piles immediately.
Wonder whether your obsession is just with Metallica or subconciously with TsP as well?

Yes, but she was just a symbol.

I know exactly who Dave Grohl is. I have every fill and every roll and every intro and outro he played for Nirvana imprinted on my mind. I probably lost my drum virginity to Dave Grohl. That doesn't make him a drummer. He's a guitarist and a songwriter, that's why he's such a tight drummer. He is a master of the verse chorus verse, and his work with The D and QotSA is a testament to that. Singer/Songwriter.
he was an awesome drummer with Nirvana, before he was a singer/songwriter so far as i know. but at any rate, he's not that great a singer or songwriter. drumming is what he really shines at.

He was always writing songs, he wrote the song "Marigold", which Nirvana released as a B-side. The majority of the songs he put together for the first Foo Fighters album he had written, I believe I read in an interview, over a number of years, and he selected them and polished them up from a large collection of songs he had produced on his own.

You can read more of his bio here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Grohl

I don't want to split hairs, I know he's a good drummer, but to me his greatest talent is in singing and writing songs and therefore he is an excellent drummer. He has a really good mind for putting songs together and that comes through in all his material. If he could just stick to drums he wouldn't be Dave Grohl.

Sorry Nordlys, missed that.

Anyway, here's one for Darvlay. Don't know how good a drummer she is, but 😲

'b-side' - that's exactly what i mean. Dave Grohl's just not that good a songwriter. you can probably tell i'm not much of a foo fighters fan. on the other hand, i was listening to QOTSA Songs for the Deaf the other day and it struck me just how great his drumming on that was.

But he also worked for Hall & Oates back in the 80's.
Does that save him?
Then again, he also did some stuff for The Cult....
