There's me, humming away merrily behind the monitor, scanning the BBC pages when I stumble across an article: "Da Vinci code protests step up."

"HOORAY" I shouted in my excitement.
At last people are standing up and fighting against the filming of such utter tripe.

Alas...it was but, once again, a bunch of religious nutters....

If only everyone would stop getting offended, it is a good movie. And any idiot that believes is entitled to that, but if the churches hate it that badly, do they have something to hide?

Jeez, it's only a movie, tell society to grow up!

I have no desire to read the book. I have no desire to see the movie. So if you want something to go away like this (movie, book, etc.), don't pay attention to it. There is no reason to get upset over a movie you don't agree with. People have the right to feel their heads with what ever crap they want.

Yes, people can feel their heads if they want to.

Have you seen the movie? I agree, the book was total fluff. On the other hand, it might make a halfway decent movie. By "decent", I mean in a "Happy Gilmour" sort of way. Light, entertaining and easy to digest.

Personally, I'd rather see "Mulholland Drive". Dark, disturbing, surreal and quite difficult on the mental metabolism.

To me this is more entertainment than anything else. Someone wrote a book about Canada taking over the world, would you take it seriously?

Sure it is bullplop, but it may be so stupid, it could be true. That is the message I'm getting here.

Movies are meant to be entertaining unless you live in Nazi Germany...

But seriously, most movies are meant to be for entertainment purposes. I saw "The Punisher" the other day and, to tell you the truth, I didn't believe that there was a guy running around avenging his family and destroying some powerful establishment. And with "Toy Story", I didn't for a mintue think that toys come to life after I leave the room. And like you said, it is so stupid, it could be true.

Err, Nazi Germany is no more - in fact it ended decades ago.

The film is a film, not a documentary. I remember the pathetic complaints about "The Life of Brian" too.

People are as entitled to protest about it, as Mr. Brown is to write it.

I agree with what someone said above.
Any protests of this type serve only to give the film/book free publicity.

Instead, the best way to complain is with your feet.
