A good read with some interesting points, but not much of it is fact!

Neither a good read, nor the truth. It is a poor, second rate work of fiction.

Absolute crap.
No character development, no differentiation of plot and certainly no dialogues worth mentioning.

In fact, the whole story heads towards one point and doesn't even attempt to deviate.

PLUS, and this is what really pissed me off, is that the epilogue contradicts the point of the story.

PURE AND UTTERLY PATHETIC.
And the writer's other book "Demons and angels" was even worse.

If you want to read a story along the same lines, but 1.000.000 times better AND with one of the best endings ever written, read Umberto Eco's Faucoult's Pendulum.

I heard God lost that court case.

I preferred the "Da Rolf Harris Code"; all his paintings apparently have secret meanings. 😉

Opus G'day and all that.

Do you think Dan Brown has got something against the Catholic Church?

No.
He just watched the same discovery channel programme I watched about 6 years ago and thought: "Hey...there's a story in that."

Or perhaps he read Umberto Eco's book, but I sincerely doubt it.

I've read all his books, and i enjoyed reading angels and demons and da vinci code. But after I read the other two, his writing skills are poor. They all follow the same guide, with the same twist at the end.

Also the computer related one...digital fortress just shows how much he really knows. It was complete utter poo! I would assume that was the same for his other books, taking a bit of information and making it into fiction!
