There's this guy who was on shift at a marijuana collective when a gunman came in to rob the place.

The dude grappled the gunman and fought him off, despite taking a bullet along his chest side through the fat and skin, outside bones and organs.

He was all into Japanese bushido and protecting the medical movement...he had balls!

Had a guy try to rob me once while walking through a city park. He made the mistake of lowering his piece while doing so.
My left hand was grazed when the gun discharged , but I'm sure the last thing he saw before he went black was a brick moving at a very fast speed toward his face.
I left the gun in the grass, took his wallet (in case he came to) and flagged down the coppers.

Is a memory I awoke to in conversation tonight.

The first time I went to USA to work, 1994, in Detroit.... well not city of, but I lived in Royal Oak, I was given a company car - a GrandAM. I was also given tickets to see UB40 at the Fox. I drove, like an innocent Englishman would, to the theater. I got lost on Woodward, about 3 mile. I found a place to p ...[text shortened]... llet, car keys and got a ride home off them.

Did you ever get a gun pulled on you?
That reminds me so much of my youth!

My girlfriends and I used to drive to downtown Detroit to Harpos on Friday nights. They always had the good live bands, not far from the Fox Theatre. It was always a good time and a fun crowd.

One night in particular we pulled up out front and hopped out. A bunch of black guys came running up to the car, I thought they were going to attack us or something. I had my mace in hand and ready to go. No, they just wanted us to pay them to watch our car while we were inside. I declined and thanked them nicely. Surprisingly enough, nothing happened to the car. I lost my mace to the bouncer at the door as it was considered a weapon and was not allowed inside. Oi!

Long story short:
Varsity days, about 2am, I peeled away after dropping off a buddy.
Around a kilometer further the cops pulled up behind me with lights flashing. I looked behind me and thought they signalled I should drive off - they thought I was a drunk idiot trying to get away.
Suddenly I had three cops around my car with two 9mm and a R5 assault rifle pointed at my head.

We then had a little shouting match, as they believed I was drunk.
I wasn't.

Eventually they withered, told me to par my car and walk home. I walked to my buddy's place, had a coffee and a smoke, retrieved my car and went home.

I sure hope you're in a safer neighborhood now!
Well, last month at work a man came in with a small caliber gun and demanded the cashbox. I complied.
And back in 1975 my sister was murdered by her ex-boyfriebd with a gun.
These 2 were in San Antonio.
I wonder what is next.

If it fires happiness or rainbow bullets, then yes.

Your police get out an assault rifle because they think you may be drunk? No breathalyser or anything?
And they let people like that carry weapons?!

I had a bunch of teenage cholitos pull a fake gun on me in the middle of the night.

I grabbed the gun and started kicking. I was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!

Unfortunately, despite this, I still couldn't fight. My kicks had no power behind them.

I went into fetal position and they began to lightly beat me up.

Then their gun broke and a car pulled up and they ran away.
LMAO

My country has lots of violent crime, so patrolling police at that time NEED assault rifles.
Also, this was the police, not traffic cops. They had no real jurisdiction over road users, neither do they carry breathalyser kits.
