I feel ya. I missed out on Microsoft after the crash in October, 1987.
Financial investment is not for the squeamish.

I wish I could have known then that stock-brokers and financial advisers are just like "the house" in a Vegas casino: They never lose.
Psssst...Keep it quiet but I got a bridge I can sell you real cheap going to be worth a fortune down the road in about 50 years!!! 😉

Why on earth do you think a metal is an asset?
Gold has held its value for 5000 years.
No man made currency has even lasted a tenth of that time.

Gold will still be treasured long after dollars, yen, pounds and euros are a foot note in some ancient economic text book.

They thought at one time the Roman Empire would never fell, but it happened! 😉

Yes, all Empires become over extended and fail eventually.

Read a book about it a long time ago.

I don't think gold will be disappearing anytime soon but we can never say never as we can not see the future.

Thanks for answering him for me.
It blew my mind when he asked it.
If he doesn't understand gold/silver as an asset at his age he never will.

Too start with you have no idea what my age is, just assuming.

Going by what I am saying on here.

How do you or anyone else know how long gold/silver will last? Can you for tell what will be in the next 100 years?

95% of all the gold ever mined is still here.

It doesn't get used up.
Silver does but they are working on better recycling.
