If a woman bullies her man, she's overbearing, he's henpecked.
    If a man bullies his woman, he's a thug, she's a victim.

Sometimes language, like the bible, is how one interprets it.

Isn't everything? "concise" also means "abrupt", "overworked" can be "fully occupied" ... etc etc

Quite, so the title of this thread depends on what "last" and "word" mean. Generally speaking "zythum" is said to be the last word in the dictionary, but if we allow comic strip onomatopoeias, "zzzz" would qualify.

Would Rip van Winkle's "Zs" go on for more than 4?

Contrary opinions aside, "The Last Word" is the post that Ponderable
attributes to the "Thread Killer" responsible for its untimely death.

It's an old chestnut that women always like to have the last word, and that certainly fits my situation exactly. I started the original "The Last Word" thread (Thread 143394) as a bit of a joke on that saying, and it ran on for 40 pages. Since three years have elapsed since then, I thought I'd have another go. Ponderable's habit of rescuing threads from the guillotine kept that last one going longer than it deserved.
