Why do I get the feeling nobody is taking this serious. Shav, those people are not now nor never were good actors. Besided LOTR was perfectly cast.
Gandalf: "Saruman...you're not showing me any respect..."
And
Aragorn: "Are you lookin' at me orc? Are you lookin' at me?"
And
Sam (to Shelob): "Are you spinnin' a web at my friend Frodo, you fcukin spider? I'm gonna break your fcukin' legs!"
I think Lord of the rings could be MUCH meaner....

This years remake of The Honeymooners. Not only was it total garbage, but I consider it close to blasphemy that anyone would dare try to duplicate such a classic comedy show. There is only one Ralph Kramden-his name was Jackie Gleason. There is only one Ed Norton-his name was Art Carney. There is only one Alice-her name was Audrey Meadows. There was only one Trixie-her name is Joyce Randolph.
Originally posted by sundown316Granted that was a horrible movie but why? Was it the writing, the acting, or the direction. It seems to me(and I have seen a few episodes) that the honeymooners would have been funnier if these characters were black, but the TV audiences at the time would not have allowed it. So instead they make them white but they "behave" black.
