If you do not have television service in your home, by choice, sign on here!
I'm betting it will be a short list.

I got a telly a few months back after a couple of years without one. it's been sweet to be connected with the humanity again. I found out the pope had died 3 months after it happened. not that I cared, but it's pretty funny what you can miss without a tv.

lets see what's on today.... the deer hunter, abyss, 8½, the misfits, and reruns of both stargate and x-files. oh, and harold lloyd's 'high and dizzy'. not bad at all, I think I'm gonna crack open the six pack right now!

no football today though. :'(

Four so far! That's more than I expected!

I agree that with internet access you can keep up on news and weather, and if you want to watch a movie it is much more convenient to just rent the tape or dvd and that way you can watch it when you want to, regardless of the time. Netflix is also a good deal for movies, I think.

I'm looking at my telephone now, and having some thoughts about that too! Telemarketers are not my favorite people. A cell phone would meet my needs in that area.

It is bro...no landline here!

And seriously...I have no clue how many of you are talk radio buffs...but since it is what I am going for with my degree I listen to talk radio all day...mostly espn radio during the day then switch over to other stuff at night.

The satellite radio is still very tempting...but I went and dropped $200 on my Sony HD radio and then an extra $75 for some nice computer speakers with a sub woofer to boost it up ( just my preference...not needed ) and i love it. Not only do you get more stations both am and fm then you do with a regular radio...almost all stations have 2 or 3 there...like here in Denver 105.9 is a rock station, but I get a 2nd one which is all comedy radio.

Best thing is...no monthly fee.

There are cheaper ones...but almost all are in the $150 range so I went ahead and paid a little more for the Sony.

Anyone else that does not have tv service listen to mostly radio??

Dave

oh btw the way have two Grundigs too...one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. GREAT radio for $100!

I have a TV ... but it's only used for watching rented movies every couple of weeks πŸ˜‰ ... I prefer RHP for comedy and drama

πŸ™„ Even finding a decent movie to rent these days can be difficult..... last watched: "No Country For Old Men" ... loved it!!!

I have 3 tvs in my apartment in Shanghai and 4 tvs in my home in Thailand. I don't understand too much of either language fluently so they are never on, unless wife is watching. I last watched tv 3 months ago, and that was a football match. So you could say my life is without tv also - add another.

I have at least 8 TVs in my house, on top of that, 5 computers...2 laptops, I'm not sure if any of the computers have TV cards in them though, we have Freeview, and Sky, big waste of money as far as I'm concerned. 😳

People who smugly proclaim how awful television is and that they don't watch it or even own one are annoying. TV is great.
