The quality of Television is so extremely low in Britain, you wouldn't believe it ... If I really want to see something I consider worthwhile, I download it or ask a friend to digitally tape it for me so I can watch it on my laptop ;-)

Only thing that bums me out is that I miss formula 1 on too many occasions ...

I like the weightlifters, all categories, they are so fast and it's like mind over matter; months, years of training and it comes down to a split second. So of course the networks will show ballroom dancing or whatever.

I don't like the pre-packaged slick evening coverage of the games. There is no excitement to it.

or... get it taped and visit a friend with a recording, so you can skip the pesky adverts :-)

What a horror show! U.S.A. basketball team loses by 19 points. Didn't we beat this same team(puerto rico) by 25 points a couple of weeks ago?
I'm thinking we need to keep reaching out to the best n.b.a. players, but more importantly, we need to play together for at least a couple of months instead of practicing a couple of weeks before the olympics begin, regardless if we have our best out there or not.
It doesn't look good for our b-ball squad.
