I can't resist. But being an educated little bear, the only thing I will say is that all your bad manners are applicable to you.
You don't have a place in this site.
So I'll refuse to read in the future any post from you.
And don't waste your time, I think that many people on the forums will take the same attitude.
Bye!
Nohup:
If you'll still hang around in the general forum, I'm sure the occasion will arise at some point for me to focus on you as well! 🙂 At the moment I've got a very interesting private religion-discussion going on with huntingbear that I'm overdue a reply on, and I've also got a few people I've promised some chess-advise to... add to that 15 games waiting for my attention, and some clan running business, and I think I should get a sallary for my RHP addiction! 😉
RC:
Glad to hear you enjoyed my post, hope you weren't alone in that! 🙂

Oftentimes after reading one of the posts by one of RHP’s resident arch-conservatives late at night, I’ll go to bed feeling a little unsettled, with a pervasive feeling of miasma. Invariably, during the night, I’ll be visited by many strange and fantastic dreams. They take on many different forms, but there is always one dream the keeps recurring.
I dream that after the North crushed the Confederacy during the U.S. Civil War, instead of forcing the South to rejoin the Union, they were instead prohibited from doing so. The North, quite unexpectedly, forced the South to start their own country from the ashes they had been reduced to. So the South formed their own right wing theocracy, just like they had always wanted, and the arch-conservatives from all over the country flocked there in droves. Then every twenty years, or so, the North would declare war on the South again and proceed to smash them into oblivion once more. In this manner, the North kept the arch-conservatives in a perpetual state of submission. They were free to embark on endless and nonsensical harangues about theology and their distorted view of patriotism, but they had no impact on the outside world. The North, on the other hand, since they didn’t have the Southern electorate doing their best to drag the country back into the dark ages anymore, was able to prosper into a democratic, liberal, and secular utopia, with everyone living in a perpetual state of intellectual enlightenment and freedom.
As always, I’ll awake from these dreams a little disheveled and only a little saddened that it was only a dream.

That is truly hilarious 😀.

Recurring dreams are of particular importance. Your particular dream is enlightening and disturbing all at once. It serves to ask you to see how divided you are within yourself. Yes, there is that shadow within you that takes on that confederate, dumb-ass religious kook with his right-wing theocracy. As difficult as it is to submit to the honesty of your dream, so also are the rewards of any freethinker willing to take a fearless inventory of his shadow.

So, come unto the light, Brother Rob, that the vile shadow of the confederacy manifested in your dream not overtake you and drag you into perpetual bitterness of a defeated and poor culture that also has elements of true dignity.
OK, I had this dream about Paris Hilton. Can someone help me with it? 😵 Kirk
Originally posted by rwingettSounds like you need a nighty-night tuck-in with a warm glass of milk, but be careful not to pee on yourself. If the South is so bad, why are you carpet baggers flocking down here in droves, especially from rotted-from within-Detroit. You also need to go back to school as you'll learn that the North did not crush the South...wore it down, yes, but crush...no. And your martial dream/fantasy on fellow Americans seems to conflict with your anti-war liberal leftwing stance...classic symptoms of someone locked in the closet trying to get out...whatever that closet represents... 😵

Originally posted by bbarrThat's because this topic has been beaten to death. Omnislash opened a Pandora's box with the 'Religion(or lack of)' thread this summer, that has yet to close. Granted, much good debate was had, but now the battle lines are drawn and some people are expressing the same set of beliefs, with out modification or argument, in increasingly strident ways.
I think this thread has drifted from its original topic...😉
Originally posted by NohupHave you ever asked yourself to which party or faction these people belonged. The Saddam Regime was supported by a lot of people who benefitted from his rule, the members of the Baath party. They were "paid" to support him. They got the jobs, the important positions and a lot of other priviliges. They've lost all that now because of the US intervention ... no wonder they're burning the American flag ....... For the most part they were members of Saddams own tribe or "nationality" ....... No wonder that the most part of the resistance and terror attacks against the liberation forces are to be observed in the region of Tikrit and Baghdad, the home base and the most important footholds and bastions of the Saddam Hussein regime.
I've seen many images of people burning the american flag,
expressing deep anger.
It never took away my doubts.
Another party that is burning the American flag are those who were delighted that the US/UK threw Saddam out because he always was an obstacle for them in realising their political dream of establishing Islamic rule in a, no doubt undemocratic, Islamic republic. They now want the US out in order to realise their own undemocratic political dreams ....... no wonder they are burning the American flag .....
I hope the democratic forces within liberated Irak will be strong enough to withstand these political forces whenever the coalition forces, or hopefully in the future the United Nations forces, will leave the country.
Nohup: "It never took away my doubts."
May I ask you what these doubts were ?
I personally blame it on the driver. The pope can't be expected to see the road with all the people taking shots at will. The Plexiglass doesn't allow perfect vision, so we need to cut him some slack...
Oh...
Sorry.
Just noticed... "Pope out of control"... Thought it was "Popemobile out of control!"
