The post that was quoted here has been removedI have 4 now. Maybe it's me?
Just think Russ, I would sign up for a fee of up to $7.99 for someone on my ignore list to receive an appropriately obnoxious response the next time one of these folks tried to message me. Maybe after the first message, if they try again, THEY pay the fee or loose their subscription? Oooohhh the possibilities π
Can you say "vacation home"?

Some people drop their H's.
If you say "istorical", then An is probably correct.
If you say it pronouncing the H, then I think A sounds better.
Now I even say it. It sounds better in my mind.
Surprisingly, I found this page... turns out I'm an old fart.

an hotel if you drop the h
a hotel if you don't
both are acceptable
apparently hotel was correctly pronounced 'otel (as we borrowed it from French) and therefore an hotel was correct, nowadays almost everyone says hotel and therefore it should be an 'otel. Hostel (from Norman French) is always a hostel.
The Times persists in using an hotel which drives me mad!

It's neither A or An with the way we slaughter English.

I saw you posted something, I don't agree.
'you don't have to agree'.
What would make you say that?
'say what? The original post or "you don't have to agree"?
The original post
'That's how I feel'.
Why
'Why what'?
Shame on you!
'Now what'
You know
'No I don't'
Blah blah blah 11 PM messages later from someone who knows damn well they're being an idiot.
