As Ladder leader, GoaD's opponents must choose *him*, not the other way around. Enjoy your misery seeking life.
Actually I didn't, but they don't seem like the brightest bunch unless they don't care about the ladder and are just trying to improve their game. Hopefully they will learn something he will give them some pointers if he was a decent fellow.
I have a wonderful life Earl, thanks for being so concerned about my life! 🙂 😛

Some challengers have been higher rated than myself.
@ghost-of-a-dukesaid Some challengers have been higher rated than myself.
Don't let that get in your way.
I didn't understand the part where they challenged you until pointed out to me by another poster. I've never played on the ladder myself. I am on 3 different chess sites, and these forums take up much of my time.
I see now how that could lower your average opponents rating IF they are the ones challenging you that is. All I know is what the other poster told me about the ladder.
IF you don't get challenges against higher rated players or challenge higher rated players than yourself, you will probably remain top of the ladder.

The Earl himself was one of the challengers. (Check his rating).
I recommend you check out chess ladders. Great fun.
(Also worth noting that I enjoy playing friends on this site, irrespective of rating. Even if this does impact on the rating of my average opponent). For many years this average rating was equal/higher than my own.
I have a name for the establishment The Inky, Dinky Deli and Pub.. I practiced putting the leprechaun tattoo on an ear of corn and it looks...OKish so come here Ghost and let me give it a go. Now where's my green ink? 🤔

Thanks for the explanation just so I know what is going on.
I really don't think I would have time for ladder games though.
I play many more games than you do total as I have around 40 down from 60 going on this site. Your suggestion has really helped, I've also lowered them on one of the other sites and getting them down on the 3rd one. Does give one a bit more thinking time instead of playing blitz chess as we discussed.

It's a long name - The Inky Dinky Deli and Pub - needs a nick name.
