Speaking of Rome, chef has decided that today’s menu will be Italian. He’s looking for suggestions for the main dish and is offering an evening with him where he’ll teach the lucky winner how to prepare and serve one of his specialty gourmet meals. Good luck. Oh and the Tavern’s benefactor (me) will supply the best of the best in wines. 👍😉

Last time I attended one of your Italian evenings chef was drunk by 5pm and we ended up eating cold pizza.
Fortunately I was also drunk so quite enjoyed it.

I will admit that he has, on more than one occasion had just a wee bit too much sake but it’s been a while, if you consider two days a while, since he showed up particularly happy. But ya know when you have his talents one does allow for such things. Great chef’s aren’t a dime a dozen.

Well as you are well aware the wines we put forth for consumption are , simply put, the crème de la crème. Thus they will be well pleased. It sure looks like you may be the one to win the “prize”. Now I must look at our policy on “ employees” winning such contests though I guess we really don’t have employees as such as we are all really volunteers.🤔👍🍺🍷

Which reminds me, I haven't had a nice Bailey's Irish Cream in a while. Those are soooo good.
