@the-gravedigger saidThanks for reminding me t-g.
Don't be hard on rusty.
His only pleasure in life is checking through all the threads to see if he can alert any posts. Oh, and telling folks he is a reformed booze hound.
30 years sober on March 22/22!!!
Something to be very proud of I'd say.
What the hell do you have to be proud of except for throwing shots at people?

Persistent? I think stubborn as hell would fit me better.
I don't like people who have never accomplished anything themselves, that they have NOT been willing to share putting down someone like myself who has done so.
As one of the more level headed people on this site, thanks again Pondy.

@badradger saidI found quitting smoking harder.
managed 3 months a couple of years back, found it easier to quit smoking.
I smelled like an ashtray and didn't know any better for years.
Of course I only hung around other people who smoked back then.
Both are very hard to quit and quite addictive.

@very-rusty saidI try to keep it to 2 drinks a night along with the wife, its never effected my work or social life but teeside has a massive drinks culture.

At least you hold down a job. I was a working alcoholic, never missed a day, convinced myself I was a sociable drinker.

@very-rusty saidI never drink alone or on a morning, or if I am on tablets that dont mix with booze.

@badradger saidAhhhh...So this means you have no problem? So if you drank alone or in the morning that would then mean you had an issue?
