Hello everyone,
I like to share some knowledge to everyone about the ISP Talk Talk ... They cap/block/throttle p2p even though they advertise unlimited downloads etc. ...
I am with them for just over 4 months now and the whole company is a complete nightmare ... I have just come off the phone (as I am desperate to change my ISP back to BT) and they told my the charge for an early termination of the contract was £70 even though they are NOT providing what I have signed up for in November (they have admitted to have changed their policies on p2p but thats about it) ...
Seriously, stay away from Talk Talk, they are as bad as it gets !!
Regards
Boris

[EDIT] Ooh, nice edit. When was 1 of my posts inaccurate? Would it have been the ones where I told everybody that you were paranoid, deluded, and clueless, when you claimed that RHP was hacking through your firewall to spy on you?

Check your TOS/contract with them (they should have an easy accesible online copy if they didn't send you one) to see what it says about them failing to agree to the terms.

My advice would be to to e-mail in to them with your issue instead of phoning. Most ISP's only keep brief notes about calls entered by the phone monkey's that answered the call on their systems, plus they charge you for requesting copies of it. Once they've replied with the usual crappy excuses, you'll have hardcopy proof which you can use against them. Try and word your e-mail to get them to confirm that they won't do sod all to help you and that they'll charge you £70 for cancellation.
Once you've got the hardcopy proof, check out this site:
www.ofcom.org.uk/complain/
It's the regulator for UK communications companies. They're the next level of complaint above the ISP's, plus they offer loads of advice for people in your situation... and they've got the power to stick a boot up Talk-Talk's ar$e and make them cancel the contract for free 😛

I'll def. do something about it as there is no way I'll stay with such a crappy ISP for another 8 months !!
