Theo Walcott going to World Cup - thoughts, please.

Personally, I think this a stroke of genius on Sven's part. Theo will come out the new Pele and will win the Cup for England.

The only thing out there more lightweight than Theo Walcott will be the ball.

I'm sure he'll be a great player someday, but this is not the day.

Don't agree. He has transformed Engklish football. Who elase would be brave enough to choose Owen Hargreaves and Theo Walcott? Certainly not a boring, conservative, English manager.

hargreaves is poor and theo walcott hasnt even played a competetive game so is not proven....
Bad decisions with the whole side england will have another poor world cup.

See the other thread- Hargreaves has been brilliant for Bayern during the last couple of months. He would impress for England more if he was given more than 15 minutes at the end of a game, whilst playing out of position!

I prefer him to Carrick in the holding midfield role.

Hargreaves is not poor. He keeps and distributes the ball well. He is a sound, solid player and plays for a top European club. Theo Walcott HAS played competetive games - for Southampton.
