Didn't you transcend to the position where you had managers managing the janitors that you didn't need to speak to? Or was it simply your position?

Something smells here, Bob.

Made it a point, even in senior management positions, never to lose touch with the 'little people'. Common touch became one hallmark of my modus operandi.
Doing so you find out the true pulse and frictions of the business and come to know many wonderful salt of the earth, real people. Please wake up, mikelom.

Where's the personal attack and where am I going off topic? My statement/question is on topic.

You tell me that self absorption is in fact on your list, but you're going to put it off because it hasn't come up in order on your 'scratch pad'?

I don't think you even have a pad or anything written down, but just said it was on your pad and you're stalling for time so you can think up something extra pedantic to say about the subject.

So quit your moaning about how your highly structured topic is received and what direction it goes. It's a conversation in a public forum. If you'd like the reception of your threads to go the way you wish start a private club for you and cocuette and the other one or two users who pretend to find you interesting and insightful.

Visit the School & Office Supplies' at your neighborhood Walmart. Open your peepers and looking at you will be an assortment of both trendy and utlitarian stuff, among which there'll be a 5in x 8in 100 sheet 'college ruled Studio C' notepad. Forget the price but believe it was less than two dollars. I use it primarily as a Do List, which frequently gets revised to keep priorities in plain view, and as a memory jogger of grocery store and related needs. Tore a page out yesterday morning to jot down thoughts I was having about events of the past few days, without any intent of letting it become the foundation of a general forum thread. Later on while shaving I thought, 'Why not'... and remembered GB Shaw's probing question (quoted by Robert Kennedy in his bid for the Oval Office), "If not us whom? If not now when?"

Hmm... those rolls are what I employ as tp.

3) How the chronic and frivolous waste of time, hypersensitivity to self and insensitivity to other people can progress into such extreme human behaviors as incest, rape, pedophilia and pederasty. Difficult for me to even imagine how these imbalanced and mentally deranged animals can justify the expression of their consuming lust patterns with such disregard for the defiliment and ruination of other lives.

No offence; but have you considered using your scratch pad to keep a record of the meds you have, and haven't taken.

Alternatively take your scratch pad to some sort of counsellor and share your thoughts with them.

Two soluble annadin, the sort doctors prefer, but then I did not make this extreme statement which appears to be aimed at people who do not share your world view.

In an effort to get back on topic and encourage dialogue, Mr. Bob, perhaps you could
provide short lists of which priorities are "correct" and which pursuits are "trivial."
