I pick up this girl at like 1pm. My car light doesn't work but she looks alright in the dim light.
I take off and she's all touchy-feely. I tell her I got my son in the back sleeping.
Turns out her place was right next to where I picked her up and we're heading.. god knows where.
So I take her back to here place.
She didn't invite me in but ....wtf? (btw I'm 37 and she said she was 52,so ..)
Didn't want money. Showed me where her place was.
Desperate????
Boy, do I pick 'em. I was just trying to give a hitchhiker a lift.

Unless you son is not a child, that was totally irresponsible.
Ha ha. Reminds me of when my ma was on her way home from night school when I was a teenager. She got home and looked all flustered and embarrassed. She told me that she was stood on the corner outside the college waiting for a lift from her friend, when a car pulled up and stopped. It was the same make and model as her friend's, so she opened the door and tried to get in. As she put her leg in the startled driver spluttered 'No no love. I only wanted directions'. He sped off without her having a chance of giving an explanation. Chuckle chuckle.

I dont think it's irresponsible.
I've done so much hitching myself and I know how much it sucks to be stuck in the middle of nowhere at night.
It's in my blood.
And no, never had a negative experience either picking up or getting picked up
