Your answer seems to be b). I would agree

The South used slaves. As did many , many other countries/areas of the world (including UK). We didnt kill half a million of our citizens to bring it to an end. It happened. It is the natural way of things.

Several Southern states were moving towards non-sla ...[text shortened]... publicise.

If you think the Civil War was about slavery, you are putting YOUR spin on events
We don't agree on b. Slavery was always an issue. It was the reason the southern states seceded.

What information do you have that refutes the "Yankee" view expressed by McPherson and other historians?

slavery wasn't the only reason the Southern states seceded.

the North would not have persuaded 260 000 plus men to lay down their lives in the cause of freeing the slaves alone.

but it is late over here, and I bid you good night. I think I also need to apologise to Robbie for changing the focus of his thread

so, andy, what DO you think of badger?

You are comparing those RHP members who alerted redbadgers posts to Judas Iscariot!!?

Before I read your post any further I have to pause at this juncture to point out what an utter utter twit you are.
