I think threads should automatically close in one day. 24 hours is enough time to see if their is any interest in a thread anymore. After that, close it... it's obviously trash.

Also, anyone who bumps their own thread should be neutered.

So you are aiming again at this. What exactly is the aim of your suggestion? That everybody is posting mndless crap can't be your real problem, since you are foremost in that.

Where did I say it was? As for not everyone being here every day, there should be enough interest in a topic that the life of a thread doesn't hinge on one user who doesn't visit ever day. Perhaps those users would visit more often to check in if they found topics that interest them are closed because they couldn't make it.

It's win win for the forums, and I demand it's implementation immediately.

There might not be enough forum users to have that much interest though, but I get what you're saying about people visiting more often.
