Temperature hit record highs, people complained it was too hot, beaches were packed and a new exhibition opened, exploring the story of The Beatles' visit to Rishikesh, India 50 years ago.

I believe this happening in many parts of the world. We have fires going in 4 Provinces out west here in Canada. Very unusual situation.

You're used to it though, isn't 30c a regular thing in Canada during summer?

I imagine that will feature. I normally avoid the tourist stuff unless people visit, but I think I fancy visiting that one.

I’m the same, still haven’t stepped inside the titanic building, it was a ship which stunk? Never got the appeal.

Perhaps we might get that for a couple of weeks or even 3 weeks but it has been unusually hot here, and I can't remember fires burning in 4 different Provinces all at the same time. Floods in New Brunswick the last 3-5 years have been relentless and costly. 30c is really hot for people use to cooler temperatures. We have had above average temperatures even the past several winters have been much milder than the norm. Yes, Climate change is here for sure. British Columbia has been hit the worst we have sent out fire crews from Atlantic Canada. The smoke is getting all the way in to Ontario and even New Brunswick.

The country is at national preparedness level 5, with British Columbia and Ontario requiring full commitment of resources, followed by Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba at level 4.

Love cheese and onion flans, and corn beef pie with lashings of gravy.

I may have said it before, but corned beef and bake bean pie with gravy. Ultimate comfort food.

Rain, then some more rain, followed by showers. Everyone inside in lock-down except for some protesters. Not me though, I'm avoiding going anywhere near people like the plague!
