Videogame controllers that jolt you when your avatar suffers a violent death and cellphones that vibrate in particular patterns are both haptic systems. The idea is that, as these systems get more sophisticated, they will be hijacked by people with less benign intentions. Imagine thinking you're about to hold hands with your sweetie through a haptic system in your phone and instead feeling the steering wheel of a car in some advertisement. "Spouch" is a blend of "spam" and "touch" and right now is completely theoretical.
