good riddance

There was a time when Russert was a respected journalist, but he sold out long ago to his corporate masters. now that he's gone, all of the media spin doctors want to jump on the band wagon proclaiming his "greatness", when 2 weeks ago they wouldn't give him the time of day, and would have taken any chance they could to screw him over. The man was a sellout, and for that, he earned my disdain.

Otherwise, how's everything going, Rev?

I doubt he needed anyone to give him the time of day, either. I mean, he did have his own weekly program as well as regular appearances on the nightly news.
I'm not surprised he was a sellout, though. But hey, who isn't these days? I'm sure they're out there, but most of us probably haven't heard of them.
